HELL, Grand Cayman - If you go to Hell, and you should, dress
for warm weather and adopt a devil-may-care attitude.
Hell, a tiny district in Grand Cayman island, 280 miles
south of Havana, is famous for its blackened and jagged moonlike
rock formations. It reportedly got its name in the 1930s when a
high-ranking island official, appointed by the king of England,
slipped on the jagged rocks while hunting and said, "Oh, Hell."
Today, Hell consists of a gas station, the Club Inferno, four
gift shops and a post office. During the day, hordes of tourists
from the cruise ships mail letters from the one-room Hell post
office with wisecracks such as "You told me to go here so I did.
