Article: CARPENTER JOINS NEW TEAMMATES

The newest Bruin, Bobby Carpenter, made his first appearance with the team yesterday, skating briefly before departing for an examination of his injured right thumb.

Tests at Massachusetts General Hospital showed that the cracked bone is healing, but Carpenter will continue to wear a cast. The prognosis is for Carpenter to make his Bruins debut sometime after the All-Star Game Feb. 7.
