All signals appear to be go for the construction of a 50-unit
affordable-housing cooperative project on a 6-acre site near the
airport in Marshfield.
Called Ocean Colony Landing Housing Cooperative, the project
is sponsored by Massachusetts Mutual Housing Association Inc. and
will be constructed by GFI Associates, a design, planning and
construction management company.
The development recently was approved by the Marshfield Zoning
Board of Appeals after many months of meetings and redesigns.
In speaking of the lengthy permit process, William MacMullen,
principal of GFI, said "The resulting plans were, without a doubt,
a much better development proposal."
