While driving through the Callahan Tunnel, did you ever wonder
how it was that an otherwise not particularly famous 24-year-old
Army lieutenant named William F. Callahan Jr. came to have a major
traffic facility named after him?
Does the fact that William F. Callahan Sr. built the tunnel
make it any clearer?
