Ellis Burks watched from the on-deck circle as Tigers
pitcher Brian DuBois served up four fastballs to Marty Barrett --
all balls -- to load the bases with two outs in the fifth inning.
Guess what Burks was expecting? You're right.
And guess what he got? Right again.
Burks, who like the rest of his teammates has been feasting on
Tiger meat since Friday, jumped all over DuBois' second pitch and
sent the heater high off the light tower at the top of the screen
to essentially end yesterday's game against the toothless Tigers.
It was the fifth grand slam of Burks' career (his first this
year) and his 11th homer in a season interrupted for seven weeks by
a shoulder injury.
