Frankie and Tookey knew each other as kids 35 years ago in
Warren, Rhode Island. After high school, Frankie went into tuna
fishing with his father, and Tookey, eventually, went to work in
his father's commercial cleaning business. But they kept in touch,
meeting mornings for coffee at Rod's Grille in Warren. One day
Richie just happened to walk into Rod's Grille and saw Tookey.
Richie knew Tookey slightly and was invited to sit down. Richie
began to stop every day on the way to his law office in Providence
and became the third member of what would become the Barrington
Breakfast Club. It is a fraternity so informal it has no rules, but
