Yesterday's concert by the Boston Symphony Chamber Players featured the final local appearance with the ensemble of its founding flutist Doriot Anthony Dwyer, who retires from the BSO and the Chamber Players at the close of the season.

Nothing was said to mark the occasion, but the program did offer a star turn to Dwyer, who wore what looked like a smashing new dress as she led Mozart's Flute Quartet, K. 285 with the assurance, flexibility, finish and style that have characterized her work for going on 40 years.
