Dr. Wilson E. Hughes, of Fall River, senior pediatrician at
the Truesdale Clinic there, died Saturday in New Orleans,
apparently of a heart attack, while attending a reunion of his
World War II Army unit. He was 73.
Dr. Hughes, a member of the clinic's staff since 1948, was
born in Bridgeport, Conn. He graduated from Lafayette College in
1938 and Yale University Medical School in 1942. As a battalion
surgeon in Europe, he was decorated with a Bronze Star and
discharged as a captain.
