Does this mean Roger Clemens tells the truth only on the days he
pitches?
Let's be quick not to overreact, but the fact is that Clemens
told a little white lie Tuesday night and he left all of Boston
with the distinct impression that his manager was out to lunch.
Joe Morgan Tuesday told the media that Clemens had gone to the
hospital for tests. Clemens has a policy of speaking to the media
only on days he pitches, but when confronted by the Globe's Nick
Cafardo late Tuesday night, the righty said there has been no
tests. When Cafardo told Clemens what manager Morgan had said,
Clemens said, "Well, Joe's wrong."
Yesterday Red Sox owner/physician Arthur Pappas confirmed that
