Two surprising developments suddenly occurred on the days
immediately preceding my long-standing interview with second-term
Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy II.
In Texas, an unemployed salesman, Ricky Don White, //repts
blasted into the headlines by announcing that his deceased father,
Roscoe, was one of three CIA operatives who fired the shots that
killed John F. Kennedy.
In Boston, a vandal obsessed with Marilyn Monroe claimed
responsibility for spray-painting the word "murderer" across the
JFK State House statue on the eve of the anniversary of Monroe's
death.
As Joe Kennedy and I talked over Coca-Cola at the
Ritz-Carlton, it was obvious again that the world fame the Kennedy
