Article: HULL COURSE ON MARINE LIFE SHARPENS AWARENESS OF ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES

HULL - They ranged from 10-year-olds to experienced and retired teachers in their 70s, from housewives to environmental consultants, all hitting the beach in the morning or fishing for samples of marine life aboard the research vessel EnviroLab. In the afternoons, they hit the labs and classrooms at Hull High School to pursue their observations with academic inquiry.

The crash course -- the Hull Marine Institute run by the high school and the Urban Harbors Institute at UMass-Boston -- is a turning point for Hull citizens and students who are learning how to take control of making decisions about their environment.
