Now we know who killed Laura Palmer. It was Bob, the Manson-like
longhair who appeared in her mother's vision in the original
TV-movie.
More to the point, we know who killed "Twin Peaks." It was
David Lynch.
Diane -- yes, I know this is a tired, hackneyed, cliched
device for reviewing "Twin Peaks," but if old Lynchy can get the
Palme d'Or at Cannes and all those Emmy nominations, then I figure
copying him has to be good for at least a Pulitzer.
Look at it this way, Diane, there was nothing in last night's
episode that was any more clever, any more cogent and barely any
more cinematic than the "Saturday Night Live" satire the night
before. Which only goes to prove that anybody can now ...
