NO DISRESPECT By Sister Souljah Times Books, 360 pp. $23
Sister Souljah views herself and other African Americans as the
victims of a cruel miseducation. She believes that throughout history
relationships between black men and women have been disrupted by a

counter this alleged conspiracy by providing a kind of primer for
"the ghetto girl who nobody ever tells the definition of womanhood,
or manhood for that matter." The result, however, is neither
provocative nor challenging but, instead, a painfully vapid and
pedantic series of autobiographical essays.
