Matt Siegel of KISS-108 (WXKS-FM) doesn't want to sound as if
he's suffering from the Rodney Dangerfield syndrome, but while other
DJs garner headlines and FCC fines, Siegel sits as master of music on
the radio in the morning. Sure, his show is a whole percentage point
behind all-news station WBZ-AM, but it's more than a point ahead of
WBCN, WBMX and WMJX.
So, like Dangerfield, does Siegel deserve more respect than he
gets?
"I think that might be true, but how can I really complain, my life
is so good," he says.
KISS-108 managers must have been ecstatic when the most recent
Arbitron numbers showed the station in the top spot among all
listeners age 12 and over and in second place ...
