In the last century, a Danish photographer named Benedicte Wrensted worked in Idaho, documenting Northern Shoshone and Bannock Indians in studio portraits. Her photographs are on display at the Smithsonian's Ripley Center on the Mall until April 2. A ticketed evening lecture on Wrensted and reception is planned for Thursday, March 9 at the Royal Danish Embassy. For details on both events, call 202-357-3030.
