The attack on Nancy Kerrigan and the arrest of Tonya Harding's
ex-husband and her bodyguard have presented Olympic officials with
the question of whether to allow Harding to participate in the figure
skating competition as a member of the US Olympic team. Some
two-thirds of 1,215 callers believe that Harding should not be
allowed to go to the Olympics, arguing that if there is any question
of her involvement in the attack, she should be removed from the
team. Those who support Harding point out that she has not been
charged with any crime and is innocent until proven guilty.
