Daniel Flynn may never walk again because two masked thieves --
frustrated when they could not open a cash register -- shot the
15-year-old twice in the back as he sought to flee a Roslindale pizza
shop on Tuesday.
Flynn, of West Roxbury, was in the Sonya's Pizza shop on Washington
Street visiting his friend Michael Gemayel, also 15, who had been
left in charge of the small shop by his father, who had left to
attend his 6-year-old daughter's birthday party.
The two robbers burst into the pizza shop around 9 p.m. Gemayel
and an unidentified delivery man escaped through the shop's rear door
as soon as they saw one of the pair had a gun.
