The Weymouth High School girls' mile relay team, reinstated in
yesterday's state indoor track championships after the team was
disqualified because a runner's uniform lacked stripes, placed
sixth.
Weymouth's girls' 4 x 400-meter relay team finished last in the
Auerbach/MIAA state indoor track and field championships at Boston
University's Commonwealth Armory track.
The sixth-place finish qualifies the town's miler team to compete
in the New England track championship on March 12 at Harvard
College.
On Feb. 25, Weymouth was disqualified at the State Class A
championships because of the uniform violation and would have been
prevented from running at the state meet, but ...
