Article: Should Stop & Shop trucks be allowed on Memorial Drive?

Stop & Shop is seeking to expand its Memorial Drive store. As part of its plan, the company is asking the Metropolitan District Commission to exempt it from the Memorial Drive truck ban. Last week the MDC formally stated its opposition, putting a kink in the supermarket's expansion plan. City weekly staffer Kristie Tillinghast and Globe photographer Michael Quan went to the Cambridge store to ask shoppers if the MDC should allow Stop & Shop trucks to drive on Memorial Drive in order to service the store.
