SWISH: Spike Lee can leave his Nikes on for his next project.
He'll executive-produce and maybe direct a dramatized version of
"Hoop Dreams," the Sundance Festival's hit documentary about two
inner-city Chicagoans shooting for NBA careers. The documentary by
Steve James, Peter Gilbert and Fred Marx goes into wide release in
October, following its Boston Film Festival showing in September. No
casting yet by Lee, who's envisioning a 1996 release. He signed
former Sports Illustrated writer Ralph Wiley to script it. . . . And
Steven Spielberg is mapping a "Cyrano" remake -- of sorts. He'll
produce former Hollywood Reporter Andrea King's script, "Body
