For people who like tropical fish but don't like to drip on the carpet when they change the water in the tank, there's a drier solution.

Install Aquazone on a Macintosh computer, add fish, a few plants and care for them daily. With proper attention, they will swim contentedly around the virtual fish tank, perhaps even multiplying if they find the environment suitable. Forget to feed them or neglect the water conditions, and they'll get sick and die.

Aquazone, a program developed in Japan and on sale at Macworld in Boston this week for $50, is among the more whimsical offerings at the East's largest trade show dedicated to products for Apple computers.
