Article: Worcester's WAAF wants to get Boston's attention

Call it the Rodney Dangerfield complex, or call it the second-city syndrome. Whatever you call it, WAAF-FM feels it gets no respect.

"We always struggle for recognition in the Boston press," said general manager Bruce Mittman.

Mittman said when he read articles in the Boston media on the Lollapalooza concert, he was miffed that people at WBCN, and not WAAF, were mentioned. "I would have thought to quote our {program director} Ron Valeri."
