Article: Doo Soo Suh, 87 Began Harvard's Korean studies

Doo Soo Suh, a scholar who founded America's first Korean studies program at Harvard University in 1952, died last Wednesday at Framingham Hospital. He was 87.

Dr. Suh, born in Seoul, graduated from Imperial University (now Seoul National University) and taught high school for several years before becoming professor and dean of Ewha College, a missionary school.
