The composer Robert DiDomenica has had to learn the virtues of
patience the hard way. Although many of his works have been
performed successfully, most notably his opera "The Balcony," which
traveled from the Opera Company of Boston to the Bolshoi Theater in
Moscow, he has composed much music that has not yet been heard,
including two operas since "The Balcony" -- "The Scarlet Letter" and
"Beatrice Cenci."
One 32-year wait is about to end, however. The Boston Chamber
Ensemble has announced the premiere of DiDomenica's First Piano
Concerto, a work he composed in 1963. The concert will be in St.
Cecilia's Church in Boston on March 10 at 8. S. M. Clark will
