Phil Hamric, co-owner of Timber Lanes in Abington, is going to be
a busy man over the next year or so.
Earlier this month, Hamric was elected president of both the
Massachusetts and the International Candlepin Bowling Associations.
The ICBA covers Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Brunswick
and Nova Scotia.
He succeeds Dom Deluse of Hanover at the MBA and Nick Genimatas
of Portsmouth, N.H., at the ICBA.
"It makes sense," said Hamric. "The MBA is the main arm of the
ICBA and there could have been a lot of things overlapping,
especially in the area of promotion. It would have been a
duplication of efforts if there were separate leaders."
