Article: A feast for Wollmann in Northeast Amateur

RUMFORD, R.I. -- It wasn't a great day for everyone at the Northeast Amateur Invitational, but those who did well were easy to spot. They came off the sun-dappled course with one thing, and one thing only, on their minds: food.

The leader, Chris Wollmann of Ohio State, shot a 66 on the par-69 course. Munching a cheeseburger after completing his morning round, Wollmann reflected on the beauty of the day and the satisfaction of turning in a peak performance.

"The greens were very fast and smooth -- good for putting on," he said. "The weather was perfect for golf, and this course is always in great shape."
