TAUNTON -- Felix, the third storm to churn out of the Atlantic Ocean with hurricane-force winds in 1995, turned out to be a rambunctious pussycat, not the snarling monster it could have been.

But the hurricane season is by no means over -- the peak period historically runs from mid-August until mid-September -- and some computer models predict three, four or more additional hurricanes before the season winds down at the end of October.
