BOSANSKI PETROVAC, Bosnia-Herzegovina -- One night 10 days ago,
four Serb soldiers wearing stockings over their heads broke into the
house of Hasiba and Asim Halilovic in Bosanska Dubica in northern
Bosnia, catching the couple asleep in their bed.
One soldier put his knife against the throat of Mr. Halilovic, a
58-year old laborer. Another one pulled 64-year Mrs. Halilovic out
of bed and chased her in her pajamas to a truck waiting outside.
With hundreds of other Muslims from Bosanska Dubica, Mrs.
Halilovic -- who asked that her real name be withheld to avoid
retribution -- was transported to the front line in central Bosnia.
