Cited for her strong leadership abilities and people skills,
Cynthia P. Danaher yesterday was named general manager of Hewlett
Packard Co.'s medical products group, the $1.3 billion Andover-based
division that employs 5,300 people.
"It's been a wild ride," said Danaher, an 11-year HP veteran and
former general manager of HP's Imaging systems division. "If you
asked me two years ago, that I might have Ben Holmes' job {now
retired medical products group general manager}, I would have said
`No way.' "
Not only is she the first woman to run the group, which makes
patient monitoring, diagnostic, cardiology and ultrasound imaging
