Quincy Hospital has added acupuncture and herbal medicine to its
treatment regimen for chronic headache and back pain. South Shore
Hospital in Weymouth now offers yoga programs for stress reduction.
In Hingham, acupuncturist Genevieve Lane is planning to add
homeopathy, chiropractic treatment, yoga and dance kinetics to the
assortment of therapies offered by her treatment center.
"When I started 14 years ago, I would go months when I saw three
patients a week," said Lane, describing the growth of her business,
Acupuncture of Hingham. "Now I see 45 to 50 a week," Lane said.
