Patrick Buchanan, who had to remove a second campaign official
yesterday amid charges of racism, has tied himself to one of the more
extreme voices in American politics in Larry Pratt, the campaign aide
who stepped aside Thursday.
Pratt, who has taken a leave from the Buchanan campaign to defend
himself against charges that he associates with militia leaders and
white supremacists denies he is a militia member and has disavowed
anti-Semitism.
But in his own writings and speeches, Pratt has long urged militia
groups to arm themselves against possible attack by the US
