No one can call the House of Blues a fad anymore. Already, there
are House of Blues night clubs, a TV show, a radio show and the
obligatory Web site. Now comes the full-scale launch of a House of
Blues record label and a series of concert tours coming to
amphitheaters this summer.
"The whole point of the House of Blues is to support the blues. I
know all the bloody, hard-headed purists would love to keep the music
under the bed, but we're going to get it out there," says House of
Blues CEO Isaac Tigrett, who formerly ran the Hard Rock Cafe chain.
The summer tours, running under the motto of "House of Blues on
the road: Have blues, will travel," feature two different bills. One
