Article: High-dose beta carotene pills have no impact on health, study says

Popping high-dose beta carotene pills does nothing for your health, and is certainly no substitute for eating plenty of spinach, carrots and other vegetables and fruits, according to a new study released yesterday.

And if you smoke cigarettes, a second study by the National Cancer Institute indicates that beta carotene pills might actually increase your risk of lung cancer -- a finding also reported two years ago in Finland.
