Bumper-sticker slogans are pinned to the walls of Henry Biagi's
office in Somerville's Powder House Community School. A couple sound
surprisingly as if Biagi himself wrote them: "Your mother does not
live here," reads one. "You will have to pick up after yourself."
Another says: "The final act of business judgment is intuitive."
What's hinted on the wall is that Biagi is something of a
reluctant mother hen who operates largely on instinct, and he as much
as admits to both these traits. As director of food services for the
Somerville public schools, he runs a wildly successful breakfast and
