Michael Levin is trying to carry on a dying tradition.
No pun intended.
On behalf of everyone who has ever killed a Bonsai tree, Levin
hopes he can convince those who love the look of the dwarfed and
sculpted plants that caring for them is not as difficult as they
might think.
You just have to know when to water them, when to store them in
the basement, when to sit them outdoors and how to prune them.
"Everyone knows someone who's killed a bonsai," says Levin, owner
of Bonsai West in Littleton, a nursery with one of the largest
collections of miniature trees in the country, some
