Bobbe Jacobson is saying she lights dinner candles every single
night. "I'm a flower and candle person," she pronounces as she leans
in toward a silver casserole dish heaped with the heads of fresh
roses. "I'm no minimalist. I want more more."
A rising star in Boston's partying charity circles, Jacobson is
out five nights a week. Her social profile is the result of a long
series of sell-out fund-raisers for such local institutions as the
Wang Center and the Institute of Contemporary Art. In a town that
doesn't like to part with its money, she knows how to sell a good
cause.
She's best known for the three successful benefit dinners "In
Celebration of Women" that she staged at the State House ...
