Jeremiah V. Murphy is a retired Globe reporter and columnist who
lives in Rockport.
BEVERLY -- Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was guest lecturer the other
night at the Endicott College auditorium here. The topic was "Our
Environmental Destiny."
There were about 300 people in the hall, most of them adults, most
of them dressed informally. Some of the people waved to friends in
the crowd and others spoke softly as they waited for the evening to
start. You could hear them saying, "Is that him?" or "Where is
he?"
Bobby Kennedy is 42 and stands 6 feet tall; on this night he was
wearing a tailored, gray flannel suit, a blue button-down shirt and
tie pin.
