If you watch Disney's new live-action version of the 1961 classic "101 Dalmatians," which opens Wednesday, and have the urge to buy something spotted, try a hyena: It would be easier to handle.

OK, so that's a slight exaggeration, but Dalmatian experts and dog trainers are cringing at the thought of thousands of parents dashing from movie theater to pet shop to purchase a spotted dog that is definitely not for the novice.
