A cousin of Michael Kennedy who could provide critical information
about whether Kennedy had a sexual relationship with an underage
baby sitter was interviewed by investigators for 3 1/2 hours
yesterday.
Michael Skakel, who worked with Kennedy at Citizens' Energy Corp.,
cooperated with Norfolk County prosecutors, answering "all relevant
questions," according to sources familiar with the session.
As Norfolk District Attorney Jeffrey S. Locke probes whether
Kennedy committed statutory rape by having sex with the young woman
before she was 16 -- the age of consent -- Skakel has emerged as a
vital player in the drama.
