If Jack Parker wants the Bruins' head coaching job, it's his.
President/general manager Harry Sinden and assistant GM Mike
O'Connell met with the Boston University coach at the Bruins'
FleetCenter offices yesterday, and less than an hour later, Sinden
confirmed he had made Parker an offer. Now it's up to Parker, who
said he will inform the club of his decision by Monday.
The issues that prevented Parker from taking the job yesterday
after his second interview for the position in eight days remain the
same. After 24 years at BU, Parker has developed his college program
into one of the most respected in the country. The benefits are
good, the lifestyle is better, and Parker, 52, must decide if ...
