"Playing God" is a mayhem-driven gangsterthon that can't live up
to its ambitions. But at least it has some, apart from showcasing
"X-Files" star David Duchovny in a fallen angel role. He plays a
surgeon fired for botching an operation while on amphetamines. While
making a drug buy in a nightclub, he saves the life of a gangster ...
