You know them for their swagger, the cocky way they marched
through rock videos and strutted across the stages of the world's
arenas. The five guys in Duran Duran were pop music's playboys of
the Western world -- good-looking young men, constantly, it seemed,
surrounded by scantily clad model women. An English fashion magazine
once proclaimed singer Simon LeBon the second most eligible man in
the country (right after Prince Andrew). He actually selected his
bride- to-be from a fashion magazine -- saw her photo, rang her up,
took her out.
In songs such as "The Reflex," "Hungry Like the Wolf," "Girls on
