Article: SINN FEIN IS KEEPING ALIVE ITS FIGHT TO REMAIN IN TALKS

DUBLIN -- Sinn Fein kept its improbable fight against expulsion from the Northern Ireland peace talks alive yesterday after its lawyer told a judge here it would be a violation of "natural justice" to throw the party out.

Justice Frederick Morris, head of the High Court, adjourned the case for more arguments today after hearing Sinn Fein's lawyer contend that attempts to expel it are legally flawed and that the party is separate and distinct from the Irish Republican Army and cannot be held responsible for IRA violence.
