Harvard Pilgrim Health Care said it has opened its network to Osco pharmacies, where about 600,000 of the health maintenance organization's members are able to fill their prescription drugs starting today. The agreement, reached Tuesday afternoon, ends a lawsuit Osco filed in January 1996, alleging Harvard Pilgrim violated state law by excluding Osco from its network. A 1994 law requires insurance companies and HMOs to do business with any drugstore that offers competitive prices.
