In his April 9 column, Mike Barnicle cited a laundry list of
reasons why Fenway Park couldn't be renovated. I question his
figures to rebuild the ballpark: $400-$500 million? Perhaps he's
confused Fenway with the Central Artery Tunnel.
Lest we give up hope too quickly, let me lay it on the line for
everyone. Fenway Park can be renovated at a very reasonable cost.
Many established architects more qualified than Barnicle have said
this themselves.
