For two Iranian refugees, the American dream has a concrete form:
an ergonomic computer desk. And it comes in black, gray, or cherry
wood, with reversible maple paneling.
Max Ladjevardi and Bibi Kasrai, who are married, have built a
business far from the revolution that sent them fleeing Iran in the
late 1970s. While Soho Inc., based in Milford, has only four
employees and annual sales of about $4 million, the furniture start-
up ships computer desks to retailing heavyweights like Office Max
and major catalogs like Global. Banking on the growing demand for
ergonomic furniture, designed to reduce fatigue and stress in users,
