"Clay Pigeons" is lively enough in its deliberately lurid way --
which seems largely derived from "Fargo" and "Red Rock West" -- until
it turns silly. This is about the same time that it becomes clear
Vince Vaughn's psychopathic serial killer isn't going to get scary on
anything like a visceral level, even though ...
