CANTON -- Between Mother Nature and Father Time, the Blue Hills Ski Area just can't seem to catch a break.

For the last two seasons, the area was forced to remain closed much of the time because of unseasonably warm winters. And in the ski biz, no snow translates to no dough.

Then, two years ago, it looked like legislation designed to facilitate financing would help out the cash-strapped ski area. But time was not on the side of Blue Hills.
