Thomas Jackson Rucker, 67, a retired Navy commander and hospital
administrator in the Medical Service Corps, died of an aneurysm Sept.
22 at Fairfax Hospital.
Cmdr. Rucker, an Annandale resident, began his Naval career at the
end of World War II and received his commission in 1957. He served
mostly in the Medical Service Corps and was assigned to bases around
the world.
He moved to the Washington area in 1972 for a post with the Navy's
Bureau of Personnel.
He retired from the military in 1979 and went into real estate
business for Mount Vernon Realty and Re/Max Realty. He retired from
his second profession in 1992.
