Well, Wyoming was certainly fun while it lasted.
Now back to Bosnia. And back to Bob Dole, Newt Gingrich and the
budget. Back, especially, to the business of 1996: There are "message
meetings" to attend.
President Clinton's two-week Western sojourn is emphatically over.
While today was officially the last day of the first family's summer
break, the vacation psychology had lifted the night before as NATO
jets dropped bombs over the Balkans.
While Bill Clinton was still physically in Jackson Hole, the
anxious face of Wolf Blitzer giving regular updates on CNN -- never
mind those Teton peaks in the background -- made it plain that the
institution of the presidency was already back in the land ...
